Personal Problems at la biblioteca…

Hi,

I came to the library at 7p to be productive for exactly one hour before my meeting, although with unexpected, yet self induced turn of events has now dwindled down my time to exactly 36 minutes of study time… which I assume will end up being 25 minutes after I’m done writing this.

My problems upon entrance of the library…

1. practically running to the restroom becuase of my large cup of coffee before class

2. trying to look up my class syllabus online but stupid computer will not download it

3. looking up a book to check out on course reserves but my stupid fingers kept typing in the wrong class, resulting in me having to look it up over 4 times

4. sat at a free computer, dropped my books all over the floor

5. when going to pick up the books my foot got caught in the strap of my book bag

6. pulled out my pencil case, highlighter rolled out fell on the floor and continued to roll across the aisle…

This is what I get for trying to be productive…

Alright better get off before the guy sitting next to me loses ore faith in our generation as he watches me blog in the library…

Bye.

Now I only have 20 minutes…

At Starbucks…

Hi,

So I sit here at Starbucks every morning. And there is something I still don’t understand. Why do people come here right after they workout? Literally every single day people come in here after they are done with their workout and order a caloric coffee and get a pastry! I can tell they have just worked out because they still have that post workout sweat on their face with the inevitable streak lining the middle of their back creating a darkening affect on their shirt letting the whole world know, “Hey, if you didn’t know before, I am fucking sweaty.”

Anyways… their sweat isn’t the point of this.

The point is… why after working so hard to get fit, you come here to Starbucks to fill your body with more calories, kind of defeats the purpose I think. Oh well, not my life… guess I shouldn’t judge… just something I noticed.

Bye.

What is the real music…

Hi,

What makes music great is really the music in between the music…

The sounds that are hidden in the background of the sweet melody, and the over played bass that we automatically associate a song with. We could listen to a song over and over again, memorize each drum tap, all the octaves hit by the singer, and even the be able to hum whatever instrument solo is relevant to the song. The stand out musical features of a song is what people like about them, that is what makes a song popular. But once you really listen to the song and hear the soft touch of a tamborine in the background, or the short series of claps that come in during the off beat is when you understand the sounds that come through in between the music. That is the music we fall in love with.

Bye.

Saw this live at Traffic 2010, one of the best dance concerts I have been to. This piece “About A Boy” was incredible. There are some dance pieces that are so captivating, filling you with such a strong flood of emotions, making it impossible to know what to do. God, I love that feeling. I could watch this over and over again.
